Have you ever had a conversation that made you go think like "Oh, yes!" like that? Or just simply made you get the "A ha!" moment. Well, I just had one. My friends and I were talking about the don't go there issue until we came up with the conclusion that being strong and not following what's cool is not that bad. Most of the time when you stand out and hold on to your principal -that is different than most people-, 9/10 person will look up to you. And even if they don't, one in the future you will say "Hey, I am glad I didn't do those things when most people did it.", because in the end, what really matters is you appreciating yourself (the way you raised, etc). Not pleasing anybody else in order to fit in
